If you're an Orange customer in France, you're in for a treat: For the next five years, you'll be able to use the company's new AI service for free, the Guardian reports.
The service, dubbed Orange Proof of Age, is designed to prevent kids under the age of 13 from accessing inappropriate content online.
It's one of a number of initiatives Orange is taking to protect young people in its markets in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, according to a press release.
"As the leading telecommunications provider in France, and a major player in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, where digital uses are booming, we have a major role to play in protecting the younger and future generations against inappropriate content," says Bruno Zerbib, Orange's chief technology officer.
Orange Proof of Age was unveiled at VivaTech, a tech conference in France that Orange has been a founding partner of for eight years, TechCrunch reports.
The conference featured 60 start-ups from Orange's open innovation ecosystem, and the company displayed a Lego model of a venue for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Read the Entire Article
