Duke Athletics has launched a new Athletics Climate Team to support the Duke Climate Commitment.
Its mission: to align Duke Athletics with the university's climate goals, and leverage the resources, platform and people of Duke Athletics to promote sustainable practices.
This summer, Duke Athletics will welcome leaders from across the country to the Collegiate Sports Sustainability Conference, the first-ever national conference on athletics and sustainability.

Social Enterprise Is Re-Housing Unwanted Furniture
Weston Mill-based social enterprise Surplus Rescue CIC (Community Interest Company) recycles and finds homes for unwanted furniture. To date, it has received “extensive amounts” of quality second-hand furniture including desks, pedestals, cupboards and office chairs from a former local authority office equipment – and wants to find them a good home.
