City of Boise Announces Youth Climate Action Fund Awards.

Projects range from planting shade trees and sagebrush, to providing heat survival kits to support the unhoused during the summer months.

Funding for the awards, powered by Bloomberg Philanthropies, aims to empower local youth aged 15-24 to take bold climate action.

The City of Boise is excited to announce the recipients of the 17 youth-led climate initiatives.

Weston Mill-based social enterprise Surplus Rescue CIC (Community Interest Company) recycles and finds homes for unwanted furniture. To date, it has received “extensive amounts” of quality second-hand furniture including desks, pedestals, cupboards and office chairs from a former local authority office equipment – and wants to find them a good home.
